Professionally Marcia’s life has run on two different tracks; Health care and Music. She is a R.N. and worked in health care for 25 years until she sustained a back and nerve injury in 2005. Also, she has loved music and has sung as long as she can remember. She sang in church choirs since childhood. On the college and community Arts department level in the San Bernardino County, California, Marcia sang solos, in ensembles, choir and musical theater from 1992 to 2000. She received private vocal instruction from the renowned soprano vocal artists including former Carnegie Hall performer, Rita Rhinehart, since 2005, Marcia produced and preformed in seven different local soloist type shows for nursing homes, assisted living centers, for senior and women’s organizations. Marcia is currently putting together her 8th show a “Johnny mercer” concert series featuring all songs written by lyricist Johnny Mercer in honor of what would have been his 100th Birthday on November 18, 2009 (Marcia’s maiden surname is Mercer). With the help of her Heavenly Father and her savior Jesus Christ, Marcia’s goal is to uplift and inspire the hearts of her Audience with song.
